Tourists and locals have gathered on Reunion Island to witness lava flowing from the Piton de la Fournaise volcano, which has been erupting for over a month.
On Sunday, lava from the volcano reached the Indian Ocean for the first time in 19 years.
The volcano began erupting on February 13, marking its second eruption this year. Since then, two lava flows have disrupted the area by cutting the national highway that connects the south and east of the island.
